Why crayons?
You might think from the name Modern Crayon that I may be a bit unconventional. And well, frankly that’s probably true.
My imagination tends to take me on uncharted journeys through the thick forest of possibilities while flying on uber-fast, tricked-out rockets through exploding idea fireworks and expansive, colorful Pantone galaxies far far away.
Not to worry, I’ve also been blessed with a translator to describe how that works to your benefit.
It started with a box of crayons and an idea. The goal, not to use the crayons as I was instructed to on the box, but to use them in a way that would challenge the audience to think differently.
One key to designing effectively is to put yourself into the driver’s seat of your target market’s daily life to see and experience what they would. Most often this is best done by someone who can separate themselves from the corporate side of the business.
